‘Offshore Arabia 2010’, will be focusing on current challenges that we face on a worldwide scale. We shall focus on challenges such as the impact of the economic crisis on the environment, the oil, gas and shipping industries and other businesses in general. In the times of a global recession, does environment still have priority?

We will consider the threat of piracy on global energy supplies and its effects on an already damaged world economy and many other issues.

Energy and environment are essential for sustainable development, therefore we remain focused and committed to energy, environment, advanced technologies, renewables and sustainable development. We will continue to encourage growth as a basis for all human betterment. Incorporating within our mission, the UN Millennium Development goal which calls for the implementation of sustainable development and its three pillars– economic development, social development and environmental protection.

Held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Offshore Arabia 2010, comes at a time when global cooperation is most needed to facilitate global dialogue in managing energy for sustainable growth. It has evolved over the years and provides an excellent overview of a cross section of the key issues in the energy industry and the environment. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will be integrated and highlighted as part of the oil industry’s role in the society. We intend to bring forth the issues and the concerns with an aim to have highly knowledgeable and skilled professionals provide a wider range of solutions and share their thoughts.
